Dear MIBMS members,

Please note the following:

Classes of membership have been changed to Associate, Licentiate, Member and Fellow. There will be a grandparenting period for Members and Associates.

Members

Current Members, who were previously IBMS members, and enrolled on an Institute approved MSc course prior to 31 December 2005, will be eligible to apply for Fellowship under the pre-2006 regulations on the award of the MSc provided graduation takes place before 31 December 2009. This grandparenting arrangement will confer eligibility to apply for Fellowship without the requirements of a Higher Specialist Diploma.

Associates
Associate members following the Institute logbook rather than the portfolio route to HPC (Health Professions Council) registration, and who pass the oral examination after 1 January 2006, will be eligible to apply for the class of Licentiate but will not be required to undertake a Specialist Diploma in order to be eligible to apply for Membership. Eligibility to apply for entry to the class of Member will be conferred after two years in the class of Licentiate.

Members are advised to visit the IBMS UK website at http://www.ibms.org/index.cfm?method=ibms.join.
Please take immediate action if you would like to apply for Fellowship of IBMS
